Groom School · The Amateur's Guide

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 6, 2026

This policy explains what information Groom School collects, why, and what you can do about it. Groom School is run by Hayday Digital Media ("we," "us"), of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, as part of The Amateur's Guide. Questions go to [email protected].

What we collect

  • When you buy: your name, email address, billing details and purchase history. Payment is handled by our checkout provider, Kajabi, and its payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
  • When you create your course account: your email address and a password you choose. Your password is stored in scrambled (hashed) form, so we can't read it.
  • While you use the course: your progress, such as lessons marked watched and modules completed, so your place follows you from device to device.
  • When you email us or reply to our emails: whatever you choose to share, including feedback or testimonials.

How we use it

  • To give you access to the course and keep your progress saved
  • To send you your login details, course updates and, if you've opted in, emails about our other courses and resources
  • To answer your questions and improve Groom School
  • To share your testimonial publicly, only if you've given us permission

We don't sell your personal information.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of trusted services to run Groom School:

  • Kajabi runs our checkout, payments and email list, and receives your name, email and purchase details.
  • Netlify hosts the course, your login and your saved progress, and receives your email, hashed password and progress.
  • YouTube (Google) plays the course videos. Videos play in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, but YouTube may still collect viewing information under Google's own privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts displays the course typefaces and receives standard browser information.

Some of these services store information outside Canada, including in the United States.

Partner discounts and links

Some lessons include discount codes and links to partners such as FarmVet and Ogilvy. Some of these are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. When you visit a partner's site, its own privacy policy applies.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime with the link at the bottom of any email.
  • See, correct or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. Deleting your course account removes your saved progress.
  • Withdraw a testimonial anytime, and we'll remove it from places we control.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and purchase information for as long as you have access to the course, and longer where the law requires us to keep business records.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll let you know by email.
